Hey, I’m Leslie, and I created Launchpad because it’s what I wish I had before I launched my business.
I fell into being a business woman when I was 19. Now I’m 50, have built 2 of my own 7-figure businesses, and helped build dozens and dozens of 7 and 8 figure businesses. I’ve also helped over 300 people learn how to become their own boss.
In the last 30 years, I’ve tried many things from hustling an MLM, balloon sculpting (lol you can make $100K/yr doing that!) and working in bars to a totally legit climb up the corporate ladder straight into the executive suite. And you know what I discovered?
The title, the 6-figure pay, every around you thinking that you have it made… it doesn’t mean shit when you are burnt out, always missing out on life for work, or when your 7 year old tells you he’d rather be homeless living in the streets with you if he could actually just BE with you cause you are such a distracted, stressed, unpresent parent. #truestory
One day I was sick-and-tired of being sick-and-tired of the games, shenanigans, and toxicity of corporate. It felt risky and scary AF but I left. I had no clue what I was doing but I just started getting scrappy. I freelanced. Then I consulted. Before I knew it I was had replaced my 6-figure income and only had to work about 25 hours a week (and as I mom I picked the hours that worked for my family). I had a branding agency from 2016-2020 where I had a team of employees and freelancers.
Then in 2020 we all re-evaluated our lives. I was 47 and wanted to do something meaningful and impactful. That’s how I started coaching other people on how to do what I did. In 2021, the Atlanta spa shootings had me take a good hard look at what my place is in the #stopasianhate and other race related movements. It was then that I knew deep in my heart that teaching business is my social impact conversation. The white patriarchy set up a system long ago that denies certain people access to knowledge.
