The day itself is filled with cooking, you might have to run around getting last minute ingredients, drive around from 1 house to another house to make different dinner times, and not to mention thinking about all the conversation that has to be managed at the Thanksgiving dinner table...and ya know what, all of this can be VERY overwhelming.
